Why can’t I open the Australian Standard that I downloaded from Techstreet?

If you are experiencing issues opening a document downloaded from Techstreet, here are some steps that may assist to resolve this issue:

  1. Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader and FileOpen installed on your device, as these are required to open downloaded standards. You can find links to download the necessary applications in the Australian Standards subject guide.
  2. Instead of opening the file directly from your browser’s download section, navigate to your device's Downloads folder.
  3. Locate the downloaded file in the Downloads folder, right-click on the PDF file, and then select Open with and choose Adobe Acrobat.

If you still encounter issues, please contact us via our TAFE Queensland Library Network Live Chat or Ask-a-Librarian services or visit your nearest campus library for further support.
