How should I reference AI generated content?

Please speak with your teacher to confirm if Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are allowed in the completion of your assessment task prior to commencing.

If usage is permitted, you must acknowledge what, when and how it was used.

To include reference to AI generated content in an assessment submission complete the following steps:

  1. Provide an in-text citation 
  2. Provide a reference list entry. 

  3.  Additionally higher education students will need to include a Declaration of Generative Artificial Intelligence usage.  

"I declare that I have used artificial intelligence to assist with completing this assessment, and that usage is within allowable use limits." 

Please note that while reference of AI generated content may be permissible, academic integrity principles always apply.
