How do I find a book on ClinicalKey?

You can find all key nursing books in the ClinicalKey database by following the steps below.

If you need help accessing ClinicalKey from the TAFE Queensland Library Network website, more information is available here.

  1. Access ClinicalKey from the TAFE Queensland Library Network website.

  2. Many of the key textbooks can be accessed by hovering over the nursing button in the top menu and clicking on the relevant title.

     3. If the book is not listed under the nursing button, scroll down to the Deepen your knowledge section.

     4. Select the Books tab.

     5. Select a letter from the A-Z list (all books are in alphabetical order by title).

     6. Select your chosen book from the list.

When viewing books in ClinicalKey, where the PDF icon is grey, the option to download PDF chapters is unavailable. This would be a part of their copyright agreement with the publisher.

Please note some additional information regarding the following titles:

Potter & Perry’s: Fundamentals of Nursing:
For previous editions of this textbook, you can search for ‘Potter & Perry’s: Fundamentals of Nursing’ using Quickfind on the TAFE Queensland Library Network homepage here
NB. Be sure to look at the publishing date to ensure the textbook is the correct edition.

Mosby’s Dictionary of Medicine, Nursing & Health Professionals:
If you’re looking for specific nursing terms and definitions, search for ‘Mosby's Dictionary of Medicine, Nursing and Health Professions’ from the A-Z books list.
E.g. The definition for ‘Osteoarthritis’.
