How do I reserve an item?
To reserve an item:
Search TAFE Queensland Library Network Quickfind search to find your item.
Click on the title to open the record.
Click Access Options and select Retrieve Item or Place Reservation
If prompted to sign in, use the following details:
Email = studentnumber@tqstudent.edu.au
Password = your Connect/network password
Click on the red 'Place reservation' button.
Check the pickup location is correct or change using the Change location button.
NB If you are an online, external, distance, or correspondence student who wants to borrow an item/s and have it posted to you, select Z_Other TAFE Queensland Region Please post.
Please note: Return postage is the responsibility of the borrower unless they meet distance from TAFE Queensland location requirements. Reply paid address will be supplied if the requestor lives further than 80km from a TAFE Queensland Library Network.
Select the location from which you would like the item held.
Select an expiry period. At the end of this period the reservation will be cancelled if not completed.
Add any additional notes.
Select Place reservation to finalise.
Please note: Reservations can be placed at the desk, or by the students themselves - either on their own devices (at home or on campus) or by signing in to a TAFE Queensland PC.
You will receive a SMS or an e-mail when your item is ready to be picked up from the location of your choosing. Please collect your item before your reservation expires.
How do I cancel a reservation?
You can cancel your reservations if you no longer need them.
