When will my reserved item be ready for collection and how will I be notified? 

The length of time it will take for your reservation to be ready will depend on several things.
 

Whether it is available:

If the item is available it will be processed the next time a reserved list is processed. The reserved list is checked once each morning, every day a TAFE Queensland Library Network staff member is on site. Some campuses are only staffed part time so items from these locations may take longer to arrive. To check on TAFE Queensland Library Network opening times please contact your campus library.

If the item is currently out on loan your reservation will be processed when the item is returned. By placing a reservation, the current borrower will be unable to renew their loan.
 

Your chosen pick up location in relation to the items location:

The length of time it takes for an item to get from one location to another can vary.

Same item location and pick up location: In TAFE Queensland Libraries Networks that are staffed full time reservations should be available within 1-2 working days. If a reservation is placed after the daily processing it will get pick up the following day.

Brisbane Region: If the item and chosen pick up location is within the Brisbane Region it usually takes 2-4 working days* for an item to arrive via inter-campus courier.

Outside the Brisbane region: If the item or pick up location is outside the Brisbane region (including posted TOL requests) it may take 5-7 working days* to arrive as these items will go through Australia Post.

*These time frames may vary due to unforeseen issues.
 

How you will be notified:

You will receive an e-mail when your item is ready to be picked up from the location of your choosing. Please collect your item before your reservation expires.

Please Note - Requests expire after 7 days and are returned to the location of origin. If you cannot pick up an item within the time frame please contact the TAFE Queensland Library Network to request a longer hold time.
