How can I find an eBook in the TAFE QLD Library Catalogue?
There are 3 ways to find an eBook on the TAFE Queensland Library Website.

Basic library catalogue (Quickfind) search specifying eBooks (Recommended)

Go to the Library homepage, enter your search term in the Quickfind search box.

Click on the Quickfind drop down box and select “eBooks”.

Press “Enter” to search.

Your search results will show eBooks only.

Basic library catalogue (Quickfind) search

Go to the Library homepage, enter your search term in the Quickfind search box.

Press “Enter” to search.

Go to the “Refine Results” option on the left-hand side of the search results.

Select “Format”, then “Show More”.

Choose the “eBooks” option.
-
Click “Show More”.

Select the “ebooks” format.

Click update.

Search specific eBook collections
eBooks purchased by TAFE Queensland Libraries are generally purchased from either ProQuest or EBSCO.
You can choose to search these collections separately; however, the library recommends using the Basic Library Catalogue Search Specifying eBooks and Basic Library Catalogue (Quickfind) Search to ensure all of the available eBooks, regardless of where they are purchased from, are found.

To search ProQuest eBooks specifically:

Scroll down the Library homepage until you find the “Click here to access Databases” link.

Select “P” and click on the ProQuest eBooks link.

To search EBSCO eBooks specifically:

Scroll down the Library homepage until you find the “Click here to access Databases” link.

Select “E” and click on the eBook Collection (EBSCOhost) link.
Further Information:
Use the following details if prompted to sign in to view an eBook:
Email = studentnumber@tqstudent.edu.au
Password = your Connect/network password
For staff this will be your network username and password.
Note: If downloading an EBSCO book, you will also be prompted to log into your EBSCO account. This is separate to your TAFE account. If you do not already have an account, you will be prompted to create a free account.
