How do I find a report on IBISWorld?

The steps to access IBISWorld are as follows:

1. Go to the TAFE Queensland Library home page - https://library.tafeqld.edu.au/

2. Scroll down and select Databases A-Z - https://library.tafeqld.edu.au/az.php

3. Select ‘I’ from the A-Z selection and choose IBISWorld

4. Note: when logging into the database, you will be asked for a Borrower ID and password.

Borrower ID = studentnumber@tqstudent.edu.au
Password = your Connect/network password

5. You will now be here: https://my-ibisworld-com.tafeqld.idm.oclc.org/

6. You will notice the words, ‘Start Your Search Here’ and box with the label ‘search by industry, keyword, company or code’.

If you are looking for the report ‘Pets and pet supplies retailers in Australia – Market Research Report, you can just type the words ‘Pets and pet supplies retailers in Australia’ and click ‘search’.   OR if you know the report code, you can put OD5128 into the search box.

You can search within the report – a keyword search.

Every cover page on every report includes :

  • Industry definition

  • What’s inside the report

  • Additional resources

  • Industry jargon

  • Glossary of terms

  • Publication date
